Wyżyna Czesko-Morawska · Vír, Vysočina Region
Two short ferratas right by the Vír I dam in the Svratka valley, both graded B/C: Jezerní stěna (45 m) starts with a prominent ladder in the north-west face, one minute from the car park, and Velká věž (60 m) lies five minutes further on. Together that is under a hundred metres of climbing — both fit into a single morning, and the reward is the view of the dam crest and the valley. A good place for a first unguided crossing if you started out in a park with an instructor.

Free access, all year.
Free, unstaffed, all year. Both walls face north-west, so in winter and after rain they dry slowly — and the rungs can then be iced up.
Your own harness, ferrata lanyard with absorber and helmet. There is no rental point at the dam.
