Anna Klettersteig (Mitterstein) — via ferrata in Ramsau am Dachstein

Dachstein · Ramsau am Dachstein, Steiermark

A steep, demanding via ferrata up the Mitterstein, with traverses and exposed sections on good limestone. It also serves as the approach to the Johann Klettersteig. In spring there are steep snowfields on the approach and descent, so crampons and an ice axe come in handy.

The regional brochure gives C/D, bergsteigen.com D (mostly D, often C/D). We use the harder grade.

Check conditions with the cable car operator or the Ramsau tourist office.
