Via Ferrata delle Bocchette Alte — via ferrata in Madonna di Campiglio

The classic, high-alpine route through the highest parts of the Brenta group — long, demanding and considered more alpine in character than the easier Centrali version. It includes, among other things, a long 68-rung ladder nicknamed the 'friendship ladder'.

Free access, all year.

Unstaffed, no ticket booth. Even in summer, gullies can hold old snow and ice — this is not a route for ferrata beginners.

Gear and requirements

Harness, via ferrata lanyard with an energy absorber (EN 958), helmet; experience with high-alpine protected climbing strongly recommended.
