Via Ferrata Hrádok – Mikova železná cesta — via ferrata in Jelšava

Revúcka vrchovina · Jelšava, Banskobystrický Region

The first ferrata in the Gemer region, opened in 2025 on the Hrádok hill near Jelšava. The whole loop is about three kilometres and takes an hour and a half, but the secured climbing itself is the 120-metre Železná stena at grade B — fifteen minutes. Along the way the operator hung a bench in mid-air and a net called the Courage Net, and it is these, rather than the difficulty, that are the reason to come. The route is meant for walkers with basic ferrata experience, not for climbers looking for a challenge.
