Ferrata Attilio Tissi — via ferrata in Taibon Agordino

Dolomiti (Gruppo del Civetta) · Taibon Agordino, Veneto

Climbs the south-east face of Civetta to Rifugio Torrani (2984 m), from where the Civetta summit (3220 m) can be reached and descended via the normal route. The equipped sections are not the hardest part of the trip — the length, elevation gain and frequent snowfields, which require real mountain experience, are.

Ferrata-specific sites grade the technical section as C (and it feels easier when descended), but the overall difficulty comes mainly from the long approach and frequent, often permanent snowfields on the route — so real requirements exceed the cable rating alone.
