Kremnickie Wierchy · Kremnica, Banskobystrický Region
The largest and most visited ferrata area in Slovakia, at 1,100 metres above Kremnica, in two sectors. The older Komín (2017) holds over 420 metres of steel cable on routes from A/B to E and Slovakia’s longest ferrata bridge — 78 metres, hung 45 metres above the ground. The newer Via ferratový svet adds routes from B to “F”, including the hardest ferrata line in the country: F-ÚHA is 45 metres long with 11 metres of overhang. Between them sit a 15-metre Tibetan bridge, a 37-metre vertical rope net and a viewing platform with a glass floor. It is the only place on this list where you can climb a route for a child and a route beyond the Austrian scale on the same day.
The hardest line in the area, F-ÚHA, is graded “F” by the operator — beyond the Austrian scale, which ends at E. We record it as E because our scale goes no higher; in reality it is harder. You can also enter on an A/B route, so the red pin marks the ceiling, not the threshold.

Free access, but only in season. Season: June – November.
The Komín sector opens on 1 June and closes in November. The newer Via ferratový svet is due to open on 1 May 2026 according to the operator — confirm with the Kremnica tourist information office (+421 45 674 2856) before driving over, as individual routes are sometimes taken out of service.
A ferrata set is mandatory: helmet, harness and lanyard with absorber. Nobody checks it at the start of a route.
