Bouldering + rope · ul. Nowowiejska 37B, 02-010 Warszawa, Mazowieckie Voivodeship
A wall on Nowowiejska in central Warsaw, run day to day by the “W Pionie” mountaineering school. The school was founded in 1994 and its staff are licensed instructors of the Polish Mountaineering Association along with sport-climbing instructors and coaches trained at the academy of physical education. Classes follow the association’s syllabus, so a course ends with skills defined by an industry standard rather than an in-house set of exercises.
The venue combines bouldering with rope climbing. Alongside drop-in entries there is a broad range of beginner courses and a year-round climbing section, with work-at-height training as a separate branch of the business. It is one of the few addresses in Warsaw where the wall and the climbing school have been the same undertaking for three decades.
