Opole is home to K2 Arena 2.0 at Halicka 1 — the only venue in the city on our map, but one that has both bouldering and rope walls under a single roof. The number in the name refers to the second incarnation of the gym, which replaced the earlier K2 Arena.
The hours are noticeably wider than in most cities of this size: Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 22:00, and at weekends from as early as 09:00 until 21:00. That is unusual — in many smaller towns the walls open only in the afternoon or close on Sundays. Opole also sits in a reasonably dense region: within seventy kilometres there is the MOSiR wall in Kędzierzyn-Koźle (41 km), AZS in Nysa (52 km), KW Gliwice (65 km) and RSW Studzienna in Racibórz (70 km). If K2 Arena is closed or you want a change, there are real alternatives within an hour’s drive.
