Gdańsk leans towards bouldering — four of its seven gyms have no rope walls, including Grimpado on Piastowska, Problem Bouldering on Aleja Rzeczypospolitej, Murall on Hemara and BlokFit on Słowackiego. For rope climbing, look to MONO in the Alchemia complex on Grunwaldzka, Ściana Wspinaczkowa Elewator on Droszyńskiego, and Wspinalnia Alfa in the Alfa Centrum on Kołobrzeska.

Two of them — Grimpado and Elewator — only open at 16:00 on weekdays, so for a morning session you are left with Murall (from 07:00), Problem (from 08:00), and MONO or Alfa from 10:00. If you are climbing while visiting the Tricity, check Gdynia and Rumia too: both are a short train ride away and keep different hours.
